Treat everyone with politeness, even those who are rude to you - not because they are nice, but because you are.

and something I stumbled upon in a friend's blog

Advice to a Discarded Lover
by Fleur Adcock

Think, now: if you have found a dead bird,
not only dead, not only fallen,
but full of maggots: what do you feel -
more pity or more revulsion?

Pity is for the moment of death,
and the moments after. It changes
when decay comes, with the creeping stench
and the wriggling, munching scavengers.

Returning later, though, you will see
a shape of clean bone, a few feathers,
an inoffensive symbol of what
once lived. Nothing to make you shudder.

It is clear then. But perhaps you find
the analogy I have chosen
for our dead affair rather gruesome -
too unpleasant a comparison.

It is not accidental. In you
I see maggots close to the surface.
You are eaten up by self-pity,
crawling with unlovable pathos.

If I were to touch you I should feel
against my fingers fat, moist worm-skin.
Do not ask me for charity now:
go away until your bones are clean.

I'm a sheep

For the first three people that reply to me and re-post this challenge, I will send you something. It might be something I've made, or something cool from my hidden stash, it might be a mix CD, or a rubber duck, a book I think you will enjoy, or something else that is awesome. Whatever it is, I promise that I will get it to you in 365 days or fewer. The only thing you need to do in order to participate is to be one of the first three to reply to this, AND post this very same thing on YOUR LiveJournal - cause it's fun to give people stuff.

EDIT!! - Seeing this abbycat is nice and generous, she ups this to the first 10 people!

Currently at polytech, have had a boring lecture, and have now got my head around hormone control of blood glucose, hope it doesn't leak out in my sleep tonight.
Anthony will be in chch soon, so I will catch up with him, which will be nice haven't seen him since easter.
Need to get my a into g and save some dosh, i need to get me a BDO ticket.

In other news, it's not dad's fault, but bloody black lists. Bebo, meebo, photobucket and i'm sure lots of other sites have recently been blacklisted, so none of them for me at home. grr. so sorry, no msn chats with this cat again. (i really can't be bothered with any other web based chat clients, get gmail losers)

Meh. Bleh. That is all... for now.

The trial was good, I think. Don't know if I've got the job or not, seeing the big boss wasn't there, but I think I did alright :D
Must do assignments :(
Must also hang other curtains.
Mostly I want to sew.

Haha, bebo is blocked... porn the firewall says.

So, I am currently sitting beside my Luke and watching people push buttons on controllers while they watch the consequential results of this button pushing on a lovely big screen in pretty pretty colours. In other not so related news, excepting the use of the word colour, I has new curtains. I have managed to get one of the four up, so now my room looks funny with one purple curtain and three yellow. My room is also remarkably tidy, it's truly amazing, my room has carpet (wow!) and the wardrobe floor space actually is capable of housing all of my shoes.
I was going to run away this weekend, but dad decided to get himself a little bit of food poisoning, silly dad.
Tomorrow, I am undecided as to what I wants to do. Considering test on wednesday, essay due friday, and following monday, I probably should work on that... but I might go and have some fun instead.
On sunday I have a trial shift at Harvey Norman :D let's see if I am capable and they want me, and want to give me millions for it.
Apparently (according to the little voice inside my head) I should stop being a little antisocial nerdy girl and join the party. :D
Oh, and in other other news I'm feeling a little bleh and have no idea why. I has no reason to not be happy as Larry (how ever happy Larry may be)

Do you vote?
What field of nursing do you wanna work in?
Liek cats?
Do you actually believe it is possible to have too many clothes?
Really?

Max says:

I do vote. However I will think twice about doing it again cos it was incredibly boring doing so.
I want to work in paediatrics, and would like it muchly if Starship would relocate to CHCH
*squee!*
No, I do not believe that is in anyway possible
Well, maybe for reasons of being able to find the one item that you want at that moment, but the selection is wonderful!

On a more serious note, I've been thinking about myself (as one does on occasion) and I've been thinking how utterly boring of a person I am. Just thought I'd let you all know.

Your Brain's Pattern

Your mind is a creative hotbed of artistic talent.
You're always making pictures in your mind, especially when you're bored.
You are easily inspired to think colorful, interesting thoughts.
And although it may be hard to express these thoughts, it won't always be.

So the essay i'm trying to do...

Evaluate the relevance and application of the principles of recovery by Onken et al. within the context of the nursing role.

it will include:
1. an evaluation of the concept of recovery, including benefits and challenges (from a range of authors)
2. an overview of one of the principles
3. an exemplar describing a long term health alteration for one person and illustrate the nursing application of the principle
4. evaluate the application of the principle in the exemplar, with discussion with supporting literature

so far I have what recovery is, and a few benefits and challenges. need to find more!! and gah, this is taking FOREVER!essay

Supposed to be thinking of mental health recovery, but what am I thinking of?
That NCIS is on soon. That I enjoyed Stardust last week. I still don't like swimming. I have sewing I want to do. I don't want to do this essay, I'm unsure of how to do it, or what to write. I would rather organise our music. I'd quite like to rearrange my room. I want my Luke now.
Other than all that I am feeling fairly happy. I imagine by midnight Sunday it will be a much different story.
I have 2000 words of genius to construct. Bloody hell, I hope I can do this.

It is now October :O

Shoeshine has been and gone. It was fun having him here, and I spent to much, and slept too little.
I now HAVE to start attacking my essay. It will be hard. I don't know quite how to do it. I will email whatever junk i have to my old tutor on maybe late Wednesday or sometime Thursday.
I'm supposed to be taking lil Miss 15 away this weekend. I might spend it writing while she lazes round.
I need to update CV, and get onto finding a holiday job.
Hope I survive this next term.
I'm going to be using you all so much, and I apologise in advance. I can't handle failing anything ever again.
I want more cds, and I NEED to organise that room of mine!! I don't know where my batteries are, and I'd really like to have them for listening goodness.
Lil Bro needs a pressie soon, he's gonna be old.
I need to figure out that party list again too.
And please, if I'm chatting to you, make sure I'm doing the work I'm supposed to be doing.

Yeah, had to....

Well, I passed my assignment! Yay, now onto the next one.
I need sleep, I'm tired.
mm.
Can't think of anything thrilling to say.
Goodnight all.

It's only 16th on the list!

Ms S responding +++ to NAS, however not distressed by same. Miss B's speech content explicitly inappropriate with histrionic noises, mood appears euthymic.

Blah blah blah.

I has a child now. I share her with a group of friends. Her name is Honey, she is African, and not only did her father die, her mother abandoned her. So now she is our little sponsor kid! Squee!!

Assignment done. Hope it is what they want. - reflection. haven't yet evaluated my interviewing skills. Will do.

I wants a Luke hug.

Goodnight world.
